Introduction and Joe Flacco

Welcome to all the viewers! This is my first blog and I feel like I should start out with introducing myself to anyone that might be reading or anyone that might care. I am almost 25 years old, meaning my birthday is Sunday, and I am a Systems Administrator for Bluewave Computing. I have a Bachelors Degree from Southern Polytechnic State University in Information Technology. I graduated from SPSU in May of last year and since have been a full time employee of Bluewave Computing, Bluewave as we like to call it, and enjoy my everyday grind at work (most days). I have a wonderful girlfriend named Morgan Moore that really keeps me grounded and from, honestly, going crazy. Overall, I have a pretty normal life and some common hobbies that a lot of people might share with me. I decided that sharing my stories, experiences, and opinions to some people might be interesting (not to mention it is a great tension release). I hope that the topics that I bring up will interest you and you will come back for more. Thanks for viewing.

The title of my blog really lends itself to the content that I plan on focusing on in this blog. I will start with football. I am a HUGE University of Georgia fan and love talking football (especially with SEC fans). I will have various comments on the blog with my opinions, from recruiting to game plan, of what is going on with the Dawgs. I am also an avid Fantasy Football participant and I will be, during the season, giving my predictions on various players and where they should land week by week. I have won both the leagues that I have participated in consecutive years so I have a little bit of knowledge (even if my jealous buddy Travis says I don't). Today to throw out there a little tid bit of what is to come I would like to throw together a opinion on the Joe Flacco story dealing with him riding a skateboard. If you haven't heard about this there was a neighbor of the Ravens Quarterback that reported to the team that Flacco was participating in "careless activity" and was scolded for riding a skateboard very briefly in his own driveway. A press release excerpt from the Sports Grid is pasted below for your enjoyment:

Flacco told “NFL Total Access” about the recent incident in an interview on Wednesday afternoon. As the story goes:
“I’d never been on a skateboard in my life, so I was literally riding it about 10 feet down my driveway just to see if I could stand on it and stay upright,” Flacco said Wednesday on “NFL Total Access.” “One of my neighbors must have called in looking for (Ravens general manager) Ozzie Newsome and left a voicemail on his secretary’s phone saying, ‘Hey, man, you got to let Joe Flacco know we’re trying to win the Super Bowl around here! He’s at home riding a skateboard. Somebody’s got to let him know what the deal is."

Is this not some of the most ridiculous load of crap that you have ever heard in your entire life. Not only is the neighbor an idiot for calling in and reporting such an innocent act but the team, if they did, getting onto his case about this is absurd. I would understand the complaint if he was throwing tricks on a half pike or doing grinds on bench's and got hurt but seriously riding 10 feet on his driveway is far from a "careless activity" for a seasoned athlete like Flacco.

What they make Joe Flacco out as doing.
What Joe Flacco was probably doing.

I had planned on leaving this blog short and to the point, however, it got away from me. I will end this with saying thanks to all that have read and I hope that we can continue to enjoy some good times and discussions with one another. Till next time Stay Classy and let your state Senator know that SOPA\PIPA is a JOKE!
